Now that we have discussed vlogging safety in our last post we can now discuss the process of using iMovie to edit the film. This will also relate to our previous EdTech class where we used iMovie to make a simple edit to the film. We are luckily able to use iMovie because we have access to IOS products but there are other alternatives to iMovie such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
Using iMovie students can add music and sounds effects to their vlogs and are able to cut and join video clips together. This allows for their creativity to influence their product through the use of technology. iMovie is an essential application for creating vlogs because it is a video formatting software that can be considered a ‘proofreading’ tool. By editing your video, it gives the creator time to reflect as to what they created and figure out how it should look, feel, and how it comes across to the viewer.
We learned how to use iMovie in class and the app is very easy to navigate. here is a link: https://youtu.be/VF2mUJ0P3xU
This video can help with the basic navigation of the app.
